Maheshwari Silk Saree

The saree shown in your pictures is a traditional maheshwari silk saree with a beautiful combination of floral motifs and intricate pallu artwork.

Deep wine/maroon shade. All-over floral weaving with delicate branches, leaves, and flowers in golden-yellow and green with small blue highlights. Dark blue with golden zari work. At the edge of the border, there are miniature woven scenes featuring royal/cultural figures, giving it a storytelling style. This makes the saree elegant and graceful for the draped portion.

• The pallu is very grand and detailed. It showcases mythological/royal scenes, woven in a kalamkari-inspired style with figures of kings, queens, dancers, and attendants inside ornate arches.

• The design is highlighted with multiple colors against the wine base, bordered with zari in gold. Geometric motifs are interwoven between the figurative designs, making it rich and majestic. The pallu is the highlight, with elaborate storytelling motifs in zari and multiple colors, adding a regal and festive look.
